Gavin's Challenge
It's been quite some time since I have made any jewellery, and so Gavin, a good friend of mine has set me a challenge - 7 pieces of jewellery in 15 weeks.
The first piece of this series represents New Beginnings.
The second piece in this series is a gift for Gavin, to say thank you for being awesome and inspiring me to make more jewellery. This piece is also a joint design effort with Gavin, it is designed to fit between a pocket watch and its chain.
The third piece in this series draws inspiration from the natural waters around us.
The forth piece is a remake of Merista 1.
Pieces 5 and 6 were altered after the first polishing stage. I wasn't happy with the designs, so decided to change them slightly. Well, after breaking piece number 6 then having to redo solder it, it became clear I just had to change number 5 as well.
I was actually intending on making this one a brooch, however I liked the design so much as a pendant... Maybe one day I'll make a brooch version :)
